Designed to be used in conjunction with my base and peak modules (or any of my specialty modules), the build module is designed to increase your fitness through a series of targeted workouts.

  • 8 total weeks of training
  • 2 rest weeks
  • Raise functional threshold, increase VO2 max repeatability and build muscular endurance
  • Combine with my base module and peak module for a complete season-long training solution
  • Combine with my cyclocross module for a complete cyclocross training solution
  • Workouts are based on Lactate Threshold Heart Rate or Functional Threshold Power (LTHR or FTP) which you can read more about in this post.

Zone 4/5/6/7 Power Testing

Training with power is only as good as the data you get out of it.  Without a handle on the amount of power you can produce right now, you can't possibly build a plan to improve upon it.

This training tool will ensure that you're familiar with your Zone 4/Functional Threshold Power, Zone 5/VO2 Max power and Zone 6/7 Anaerobic  power through a series of on-bike tests.
