Good customer service is hard to find these days. Typically, we hear more complaints about Local Bike Shop service than anything else, but in reality a lot of us purchase items online. This is where customer service really can fall flat quickly, so a great experience is worth talking about.
I'm here to tell you RoadID will take care of you.
Back story:
My wife and I ordered RoadID classics a year or so ago, and they had some supply issues at the time, so they upgraded our order to an Elite model in order to get us on the go quickly. This being the first experience we had with RoadID, we were both more than impressed and very pleased. Since then, my RoadID has been my constant companion, at least until a couple weeks ago.
When gearing up for one of the last warm rides we've had in the northeast, I tried to snap on my RoadID onto my right wrist only to have the clasp fail at the pin. After examining it, the end of the pin had actually fallen out of the body, allowing the clasp to fall off. After my ride I hopped onto the MacBook and fired off an email to RoadID customer service, enquiring if they sold just the clasp unit and how much it was. I received the following response:
I apologize for the problems that you have experienced with your Wrist ID Elite. I'm going to send you (free of charge) a replacement Elite Clasp right away.
Rest assured that we stand behind our products 100%. If you ever experience a problem with any current or future Road ID purchase, just let us know. I promise that we will take care of it…and you.
If it makes you feel any better, I just gave the guy responsible for the malfunctioning clasp a black-eye for you.
Where would you like for the replacement to be sent?
If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
Be safe out there,
Customer Service

Gotta love the ability to take care of customers and have a little fun at the same time. In any case, with no questions asked (not even a photo which I would have gladly provided) they replaced the clasp at no charge, getting me back on the road in about 10 days from start to finish.
In any case, if you're in need of any kind of sports ID, give RoadID a definite look. In fact, if you order from them in the next 3 weeks or so, you'll get $1 off using the coupon they provided for me to give to my buddies:
